Designed and built as a 500 cow jersey cow facility, expandable up to 1,000 cows. This dairy was designed to be incredibly efficient. The milking parlor is a double 12 parallel (expandable) featuring a fully automated flush system. The parlor connects up tight to a freestall barn that also has a fully automatic flush system. All of the flush water is collected in a holding pit and run through a rotary screen separator. The solids are immediately transferred into a dump truck that, when full, stacks the solids in wind rows. The solids are then composted by Omega Bio-energy (see page).
